I'm Having a hard time in deciding whether or not to get braces or a Car?

I'm almost turning 16 and getting my license soon. however, my mom can only afford 1 or the other. I enjoy hanging out with my friends a lot so transportation is difficult. My teeth aren't that bad but need a little bit of correction. But if i choose one, i would have to wait a year for the other.
